Thundery rains of varying intensity were observed in some areas of country on Thursday, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD).
The rains were associated with strong winds and sometimes with hail.
Scattered rain may continue as the night falls, QMD said, adding that the wind will be mainly Northeasterly-Northwesterly at light to moderate speed gusting at 25 knots.
Weather inshore tonight until 6:00 am on Friday will be scattered clouds to partly cloudy with thundery rains at places at times, the QMD said, warning ofrain associated with strong wind and poor horizontal visibility at places.
