Enertech Qatar Safety Training Centre, one of the leading safety training providers in the Middle East, has become the first IRATA-approved Rope Access Training Centre in Doha.
The training centre is expected to start off with the IRATA-approved rope access training by the end of November and will be facilitating all 3 levels of the training. The training will be conducted at Enertech Qatar by an IRATA-approved trainer.
Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) is recognised as the world’s leading authority on industrial rope access and was formed in the UK in the late 1980’s to solve maintenance challenges in the offshore oil and gas industry.
The most common uses for rope access include structure inspections, surveying, maintenance of buildings, construction of bridges, industrial chimneys, stadiums constructions, cleaning of high-rise buildings etc.
Rope access methodology boasts an unrivalled safety record, short set-up and dismantling time, positive environmental benefits and removes the need for invasive access equipment or disruption to a worksite. IRATA currently has 236 training providers across the world.
Shareef P Mohammed, managing director of Enertech, said, “It is a proud moment for Enertech Qatar to be positioned as the first IRATA-approved trainings provider in Doha. Being an IRATA-approved trainer will be a breakthrough for various rope-access training requirement in Qatar market.’’
Enertech is entitled to offer varied courses approved by internationally-recognised entities like OPITO for offshore trainings, PASMA for Mobile Tower, LEEA for lifting operations, and so on. Now with IRATA accreditation, Enertech is expanding its offering into rope access training.
Enertech’s venturing into IRATA rope access training will be a great relief to the companies having rope access training requirements. (TNN)
