AMU Alumni Qatar of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) hosted a ‘one-dish’ party at Al Janoub Stadium Park on October 25 to welcome new members and foster connections within the community.
Dr Syed Jaffery, president, warmly welcomed the newcomers with enthusiasm. Imtiaz Jawed, general secretary, introduced the new members to all. Shahid Yar Khan, Ali Imran, Sarwar Mirza Beg, Jawed Ahmed, Qamar Alam, Mohd Ahmad, Feroz Khan, Danish Khan, Ziauddin Ahmad and Asif Khan, welcomed the new members and gave general guidelines on the regulations in Qatar.
The event facilitated discussions on the current situation at AMU and exchanged ideas on enhancing educational support within the community. More than 100 attendees, including families, enjoyed the gathering.
Established in 2003, AMU Alumni Qatar is a non-political, non-profit, secular organisation dedicated to addressing the educational, social, literary and cultural needs of the community.
