DOHA: Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the 15th Milipol Qatar Exhibition and Conference, organised by the Ministry of Interior, will commence on Tuesday, featuring the participation of more than 250 local and international companies specializing in internal security and safety. The event will run until October 31.

The exhibition will welcome several esteemed ministers of interior from friendly and sisterly countries, alongside senior security officials, experts, and representatives from leading global security companies. Attendees will gather to discuss and showcase the latest advancements and innovations in internal security.

In a press conference, Chairman of the Milipol Qatar Committee Maj. Gen. Nasser bin Fahad Al-Thani highlighted that this year's edition, held under the theme "Technology in the Service of Security," emphasizes Qatar's commitment to harnessing advanced technological solutions to address contemporary security challenges, aligning with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The committee has collaborated closely with the French company Comexposium to organize a comprehensive event that will feature the latest security technologies and innovations. The exhibition will also host a series of seminars addressing critical security topics over three days, covering areas such as cybersecurity, civil defense, and the security of airports and borders. This year's program includes 15 sessions led by experts in these fields.

Maj Gen Nasser noted that preparations have been completed for a remarkable edition of the global event, which will feature 6 major international pavilions alongside the Ministry of Interior's various departments. He emphasized that this year's exhibition will host the highest number of official delegations to date, with over 350 VIP participants from around the world, underscoring Milipol Qatar's international stature.

The exhibition offers a unique opportunity for direct engagement with high-ranking delegations, military and security leaders, and government representatives, fostering the potential for contracts and agreements with participating companies.

A key highlight of this edition will be a special two-day international conference on artificial intelligence (AI) for homeland security and safety technology, scheduled for October 29-30. Leading global experts will discuss AI innovations and ethics, focusing on four main themes: AI and smart technologies, AI in security operations, ethics of AI, and security challenges and opportunities in AI. This conference underscores Qatar's pioneering role in the region and internationally, as it addresses complex AI-related security and legal issues, proposing recommendations to guide the positive application of AI technologies for governmental benefit and sustainable development.

Maj Gen Nasser encouraged specialists to attend this global event to explore the latest security technologies and products and engage with both local and international companies. Notably, some exhibitors plan to unveil new systems and solutions, making this an invaluable platform for decision-makers and industry experts to exchange insights and experiences.

Anne Frayssinet, Director of Events of the Milipol International Network, emphasized the significance of Milipol Qatar in keeping pace with the rapidly evolving security landscape, noting that the event serves as a crucial platform for governments, sector leaders, and experts to address the ongoing challenges in global security.
