Sony Middle East and Africa, a leader in consumer electronics, in collaboration with Fnac Qatar, recently hosted an exclusive workshop at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) in Doha. Designed to empower attendees to transform their creative vision into thriving businesses, the workshop was guided by renowned cinematographer and Sony Alpha Ambassador Mohammad Almorohen, who shared invaluable insights into mastering both the art and business of wedding videography.
The global wedding photography market size is set to expand from $21.83 billion in 2023 to $36.80 billion by 2030. The workshop, titled ‘The Art of Wedding Cinematography: Unlocking Business Growth and Success’, aimed to equip participants with advanced creative techniques and business strategies allowing them to stand out in a highly competitive market. Almorohen emphasised the importance of storytelling and creativity in wedding videography, while also offering practical guidance on how to build a sustainable business around one’s artistic vision.
Focusing on Sony gear, this masterclass emphasised the critical role lenses play in capturing cinematic moments. Through hands-on activities and gear selection tips, participants gained the tools to unlock new levels of creativity and business success in wedding cinematography. Participants also exchanged personal experiences, from overcoming early struggles and strategies for scaling their businesses.
