Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the 15th edition of Milipol Qatar Exhibition and Conference is set to begin on October 29, Tuesday.

Organised by the Ministry of Interior, the event will see the participation of more than 250 local and international companies specialising in internal security and safety. Theconference will run until October 31.

The exhibition will welcome several esteemed ministers of interior from friendly and sisterly countries, alongside senior security officials, experts, and representatives from leading global security companies. Attendees will gather to discuss and showcase the latest advancements and innovations in internal security.

In a press conference to announce the launch of the exhibition, Chairman of the Milipol Qatar Committee Maj. Gen. Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani said that this year’s edition, held under the theme “Technology in the Service of Security,” reflects Qatar’s unwavering commitment to employing advanced technological solutions to tackle the growing security challenges of our time.

This initiative aligns seamlessly with Qatar’s National Vision 2030, which seeks to strengthen the country’s security infrastructure while ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens.

The exhibition’s meticulous planning involved a close partnership with the renowned French company Comexposium, resulting in a comprehensive programme that showcases cutting-edge innovations and technologies in the security sector.

Over three days, participants will engage in a series of seminars that address critical issues, including cybersecurity, civil defence, and border security.

With 15 presentations lined up, these sessions promise to stimulate insightful discussions and facilitate valuable knowledge exchange among attendees.

In anticipation of the event, Major General Al Thani highlighted the impressive participation expected this year, with more than 350 official delegations attending. This remarkable turnout underscores the exhibition’s international prestige and its relevance in the ever-evolving security landscape.

Milipol Qatar serves as a unique platform for meaningful engagement with high-level officials, military leaders, and representatives from governmental bodies.

This year, a notable highlight will be the two-day international conference focused on artificial intelligence, titled “Artificial Intelligence for Internal Security and Safety Technology.” Scheduled for October 29 and 30, the conference will bring together leading global experts to discuss the latest innovations in AI and its ethical implications.

The conference will address crucial themes, including the role of AI in security operations, the ethics surrounding AI technologies, and the opportunities and challenges that AI presents for security agencies. By engaging in these discussions, Qatar aims to position itself as a regional leader in navigating the complexities of artificial intelligence in the context of security.

Spanning an area of 23,000 square metres, the exhibition will also feature an outdoor display area showcasing the Ministry of Interior’s vehicle fleet, highlighting Qatar’s investment in advanced security capabilities.
