Inter Milan and Juventus shared eight goals in an incredible 4-4 draw in Serie A on Sunday. A frenetic first half saw five goals scored as Dusan Vlahovic quickly cancelled out Piotr Zielinski’s penalty before Juve went ahead through Timothy Weah.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan levelled for Inter and they restored their lead moments later when Zielinski scored his second spot-kick of the evening. Denzel Dumfries extended the advantage for the hosts after half-time, but Kenan Yildiz scored twice in the space of 11 minutes to snatch a point for Juventus and help maintain their unbeaten start in the league. Inter were awarded a penalty when Marcus Thuram was fouled in the box and Zielinski smashed the spot-kick straight down the middle after 15 minutes.

Juve equalised just five minutes later when Juan Cabal floated a brilliant cross into Weston McKennie and the midfielder tapped the ball across to Vlahovic, whose close-range finish bounced underneath Yann Sommer. An end-to-end affair saw both sides have chances and Inter went close when Michele Di Gregorio made a good save to clear Dumfries’ looping header from a corner. Juve took the lead in the 26th minute when Francisco Conceica played a low cross into Weah in the six yard box and his first-time strike beat Sommer. (PA Media/DPA)
