Ideal Indian School (IIS) recently celebrated its 34th Annual Day with a lot of colour and gaiety showcasing the magnificent cultural performance by the students of Kindergarten, Junior, Girls and Boys sections.
Abdullah Muhammad Mahmoud Abdulraheem al Mulla, head of Cultural Department at FANAR; Parvez Khan, EGM, Investments & Strategy at Commercial Bank; and Shruthi Purushotham, third secretary education and culture at Indian Embassy, graced the occasion as guests.
School President Dr Hassan Kunhi M P, Principal Syed Shoukath Ali and heads of sections were present on the occasion.
Presenting the annual report, Shoukath Ali said the school has set standards and goals in the area of academics, sports, events, discipline, leadership, management systems and more.
The Annual Day at Ideal Indian School was also an occasion to honour the students for their outstanding performance in CBSE examinations every year. Gold and Silver medals were awarded to the school rank holders and individual subject toppers in classes 10 and 12 examinations held in March 2018.
The school staff completing their 10, 15, 20 and 30 years of dedicated services to the school were also felicitated on the occasion. A large number of students and parents turned out to witness
the evening.
The day featured a spectacular cultural extravaganza titled ‘Threads of Yarn’. About 2,000 students from all four sections mesmerised the audience with their enthralling stage show. The cultural fiesta comprised a variety of programmes, including dances- International, folk - western, fusion, contemporary dances, songs, musical and scintillating multi-lingual dramas.
Head Girl Shivani Dhansingh Thakur welcomed the gathering and Head Boy Fahad Aqueel Thakur proposed vote of thanks.
Shobhana Menon, vice-principal, Junior Section, and Nazima bi, headmistress, Girls’ Section, coordinated the programme.
