Paris Saint-Germain moved three points clear at the top of Ligue 1 with a 3-0 victory at 10-man Olympique Marseille.

Joao Neves had already put PSG in front before Amine Harit was shown a straight red card for a foul on Marquinhos with just 20 minutes gone and the visitors took full advantage of their numerical superiority.

An own goal from Leonardo Balerdi left his side with a mountain to climb and Bradley Barcola effectively killed off the contest when he made it 3-0 shortly before half-time.

It was therefore no surprise that PSG were quickly out of the blocks at the Stade Velodrome, Ousmane Dembele forcing a good early save from Geronimo Rulli in the fourth minute after being set up by Warren Zaire-Emery.

Rulli also kept out a dangerous cross from Nuno Mendes in the seventh minute, only for the ball to fall perfectly for Neves to fire home the opening goal.

Things quickly went from bad to worse for the home side when Harit was controversially dismissed for a high boot on Marquinhos, with referee Francois Letexier waving away the protests of the furious Marseille

players.

Former PSG academy product Adrien Rabiot saw his header comfortably saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma before the unfortunate Balerdi inadvertently diverted the ball into his own net from a seemingly harmless right-wing cross, leaving Rulli with no chance.

Dembele set up Barcola to make it 3-0 five minutes before half-time and Marseille never threatened to stage an unlikely comeback after the interval.
