Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) has finalised the preparations for the seventh edition of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Aspire Beach Volleyball Qatar Master 2018, scheduled to start at Aspire park on Tuesday.
Sixteen top teams of the continent will battle for the title, which was won by local pair of Jefferson Santos Pereira and Cherif Younousse last year.
Thousands of fans are expected to flock to the tournament venue opposite the outdoor football pitches at Aspire Park, a suitable location carefully selected by the organisers to make the competition as accessible as possible for fans to watch and enjoy games.
Finishing touches were given to the tournament on Sunday, including marking out the court perimetre, kitting out the media centre, organising seating and establishing a dedicated Fun Zone for parents and children to get a taste of the game.
A unique kids area is set to be unveiled on Tuesday, including ‘Kidzania Go!’ – a mini version of Kidzania World which showcases some of Kidzania’s most popular activities outside of its premises for the first time in Qatar. AZF has also allocated a special area for mini volleyball, football and basketball activities for families and friends, as well as a F&B area offering a wide variety of choices for visitors.
Fans and visitors will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle draw to win special prizes presented by the event sponsors including Sports Corner (main sponsor), Ooredoo (telecommunication sponsor), De Boer (technical sponsors) and Kidzania (event partner). Free tickets will be distributed on-site at the main entrance.
