TNG School organised the graduation ceremony of its IGCSE and A-Level students from the Al Daayen and Al Wakra Secondary campuses, celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2024.

This year’s event was particularly significant as it marked the first-ever graduating class for Al Daayen campus, a historic milestone reflecting the school’s growth and commitment to academic excellence.

The ceremony was graced by chief guest Syed Mustafa Rabbani, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Pakistan, and guest of honour Waseem Kotoub, Country Director of the British Council.

TNG Principal Ailia Rizvi congratulated the parents, students, and teachers for their dedication. Education, she noted, is a pathway to freedom—intellectual, economic, social, and cultural—and encouraged graduates to embrace these freedoms as they navigate their futures.

The atmosphere was charged with excitement as graduates from both Al Daayen and Al Wakra campuses received their graduation certificates, proudly including the valedictorians: Abdur Rehman for IGCSE Science at TNG Al Daayen Campus, Umar Fida for IGCSE Science, and Syeda Waniyah Zarrar for Cambridge A-Level Science at TNG Al Wakra Secondary.

Abdul Haseeb, Headmaster of TNG Al Daayen Campus, expressed his pride in this accomplishment, stating, “The journey of our first graduating class has been a remarkable one, and their success is a reflection of the hard work of our students, parents, and teachers.”

Rusna Raiz, Headmistress of TNG Al Wakra Secondary, echoed these sentiments, emphasising TNG’s commitment to holistic education. “Class of 2024, your academic achievements reflect your dedication, but beyond that, you have grown intellectually, emotionally, and socially,” she said.

TNG’s exceptional global achievements were also recognised, including winning the Global Award at the Your World - Video Making Competition and the Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards, which honoured the top-performing students in Qatar, including Fatima Amir, who received the Top in Qatar Award for IGCSE Islamic Studies, and Muhammad Farhan Arshad, who earned the High Achievement Award for A-Level Chemistry.

Additionally, students showcased their innovation at the International Invention, Innovation, and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) in Malaysia, where Menatullah Amro Elmarashly and Maryam Emad Eldin, guided by their mentor Karren R Baac, presented their project ‘Solar-Powered Aquaveyor’ earning recognition for their creativity and commitment to sustainability.

TNG students also achieved significant milestones by finishing as runners-up in the Qatar Debates and excelling at various Model United Nations conferences.

Guest of honour Waseem Kotoub praised these accomplishments, especially as he spoke during the Your World - Video Making Competition celebration. “Your creativity and innovation have made an impact not only within TNG but globally. You should be immensely proud,” he said.

Building on this energy, TNG Director Riyaz Ahmed Bakali followed with an inspiring address, urging graduates to think beyond conventional boundaries. “The world needs thinkers, innovators, and problem-solvers. The knowledge and skills you’ve acquired here will equip you to tackle the challenges ahead. You are the future leaders who will shape a better tomorrow,” he said.

Chief guest Syed Mustafa Rabbani encouraged the graduates by highlighting the importance of resilience and adaptability in today’s rapidly changing world. He reminded the students that success lies in their ability to

embrace challenges and seize opportunities, stressing the importance of lifelong learning as they continue their journey.

During the ceremony, the dedicated teachers whose exceptional efforts contributed to the outstanding academic results of the graduates, were praised highly.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from TNG CEO Shagufta Bakali, who expressed deep pride in both the students and teachers. “Your journey has just begun, Class of 2024. Believe in yourselves, harness your talents, and embrace challenges,” she said.
