DOHA: The State of Qatar has condemned, in the strongest terms, the brutal crimes that targeted civilians in Al-Jazeera State in the sisterly Republic of Sudan, including children, women and the elderly, considering them a flagrant violation of international laws and humanitarian norms.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed, in a statement, the necessity of dialogue between all Sudanese parties to permanently end the armed conflict, in preparation for launching broad negotiations that will lead to a comprehensive agreement and sustainable peace. It also stressed the necessity of placing the Sudanese crisis on the list of priorities of the international community, and addressing its roots completely.

The Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position in support of the unity, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Sudan, rejecting any form of interference in its internal affairs, and fully respecting the choices of its brotherly people for freedom, peace, justice and prosperity.
