Minister of State for International Cooperation HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met with Minister of Culture in the Lebanese caretaker government Mohammad Wissam El-Mortada, in Doha on Sunday.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Qatar and Lebanon, exploring avenues for bolstering the bilateral relations, and discussing a range of issues of mutual concern.
During the talks, Khater reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast support for Lebanon, emphasising the country’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian assistance and backing initiatives to achieve a ceasefire.
She stressed that Qatar’s foremost priority is to take all necessary steps to halt aggression against Lebanon, de-escalate tensions, and promote security and stability across the region.
For his part, El-Mortada expressed gratitude to Qatar for its unwavering support of Lebanon, particularly in light of the challenging circumstances the country is currently facing.
