THE Amiri Guard School celebrated the conclusion of the first part of the training season 2018-2019 at Hasniyeh Camp with the honouring of the graduating cadets in a number of basic courses and the trainees demonstrating various methods of self-defence.
Held under the patronage and in the presence of the Commander of the Amiri Guard Major General Hazza bin Khalil al Shahwani, the graduation ceremony was also attended by the deputy commander, the inspector-general, assistant commander of the Amiri Guard, as well as a number of group leaders, officers from the armed forces, the Ministry of Interior and the Internal Security
Force (Lekhwiya).
At the outset of the ceremony, Lt Col Mohammad Rashid al Hajri, acting head of the Amiri Guard School, said that the school is always keen to upgrade training in various courses according to the directives of the Amiri
Guard leadership.
This was followed by demonstration of methods of self-defence and counter-terrorism by the trainees through various combat formations that reflected the readiness of the Amiri Guard and other security forces to tackle
any situation.
Besides, they also presented a number of scenarios that included some field exercises for rapid intervention, aerial landing and shooting at fixed targets.
The courses included Security and Protection of Founding Persons, the Self-Defense Course, Anti-Terrorism Course, Foundational Explosives Course, Quick Intervention Course and Qualifying Agents Course.
At the end of ceremony, the commander of the Amiri Guard honoured the graduates and urged them to continue their efforts and perseverance.
