Qatar Charity (QC), through its stall, is actively participating in the book fair by organising special events and cultural activities for visitors.
QC’s activities at the fair include seminars, workshops and book-signing events for both young and adult visitors.
The participation came as part of QC’s responsibility to instil the values of humanitarian action and to spread the culture of volunteerism.
QC’s stall at the fair includes a section for publications, a children’s corner and a corner of the electronic library. QC is holding many activities and competitions for children.
The activities also include general competitions, interactive games, painting and colouring, as well as a competition for adults entitled ‘Book and Author’ to introduce the authors of important books.
QC’s stall has a number of books issued by Qatar Charity in both Arabic and English languages, for adults, children and the youth. The most important books include ‘The Glowing of Success’ (second part) in Arabic, the English version of the same book (first part), a book for zakat calculation, a Hadith collection on making charity, in addition to Ghiras magazine, a story of three heroes, stories of ‘Future’s Writer’ programme and colouring book.
There are also two books entitled ‘Youth Experiences in Volunteer Work’ and ‘Volunteers at the Heart of the Field’, in addition to having an e-Library service, through which, visitors can browse and download QC’s publications.
Qatar Charity is also holding seminars, targeting the public at the fair.
A book signing event will be organised for the book ‘The Glowing of Success’ today (December 2). (TNN)
