Tribune News NetworkDohaMES Indian School, Abu Hamour Branch celebrated the 75th Independence Day of India ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on the school campus. MESIS Vice-President A.P Khaleel hoisted the Indian flag in the school multi-purpose hall. MES Principal Hameeda Kadar felicitated the function. Chief guest of the occasion Dr Najeeb delivered the presidential address. The joyous occasion saw huge cultural presentations from students. The Independence Day celebrations started with prayer by Fathima Zanha followed by a warm welcome to each guest in attendance by Master Akshith Saravan. Patriotic group dance was performed by Sreebadra and team. The tiny tots of Grade I and II presented a fancy dress showcase of prominent historic personalities amid applause of everyone. A remarkable speech was given by Zeniya to ignite patriotism in minds of the students. The students of grades IV, V and VI presented an amazing tableau which was a thought-provoking experience to everyone in attendance. A scintillating group song was performed by Nayan and team highlighting the patriotic moment of all present. Ayesha proposed the vote of thanks for the event.
