Principal of Birla Public School, Doha, A.P Sharma, has received the "Exemplary School Leadership Award” during an "International Adolescent Summit” in Delhi. He also released the souvenir of the event with former President of India Pranab Mukherjee and Vineet Joshi former chairman of CBSE and currently the Director General of "National Testing Agency”.
Sharma’s contribution in school leadership, especially in the field of adolescent education, parenting, career counselling and academic innovations for effective leadership were applauded. He was the only educator to receive this award and honour.
An exhibition on adolescence issues was also opened by Mr. Pranab Mukherjee. The guests praised the efforts of students gathered from India and abroad.
The United Nations and UNICEF has kept this subject as one of the most important SDG’s for the next decades.
UNICEF has put gender equality, good health and well-being as the central "sustainable development goals”.
