The relationships between Qatar and Indonesia have scaled new heights and are at an all- time high, with increased Qatari investments in Indonesia in various sectors such as telecommunications, energy, retail and banking, Ambassador of Indonesia to Qatar HE Muhammad Basri Sidehabi has said. "The bilateral trade volume of the two countries was recorded at $977.8 million (Jan-Aug 2018). There is a significant increase in the number of visitors from Qatar to Indonesia and vice versa. To date there are approximately 8,000 Indonesian professionals residing in Qatar with their families,” the ambassador said. (Ailyn Agonia)
