malomatia, Qatar’s leading system integrator, and the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the UDST campus. The pact aims at fostering talent development and advancing research collaboration in Qatar.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by CEO of malomatia Khalid Mohammed Al Kubaisi and UDST President Dr Salem bin Nasser Al Naemi along with several academics and executives from both organisations.
The partnership aims to nurture local talent and provide pathways for graduates to succeed in the tech sector. By empowering the next generation of innovators, malomatia and UDST seek to foster innovation, retain local talent, and enhance workforce capabilities, supporting Qatar’s vision of building a dynamic knowledge-based economy.
Kubaisi expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating: “At malomatia, we are dedicated to becoming the employer of choice in Qatar. This partnership with UDST reinforces our dedication to developing local talent and advancing Qatar’s technological landscape. Together, we aim to create impactful opportunities for students while driving innovation and growth.”
Commenting on the collaboration, Dr Naemi said, “We are delighted to partner with malomatia to provide our students with the experience and knowledge needed for success in the IT industry. This collaboration will support our mission of advancing education, research, and community development.”
Under this agreement, malomatia will offer internships, graduate trainee positions, and mentorship opportunities, allowing students to gain hands-on industry experience and work on projects aligned with malomatia’s objectives. Top-performing students will also have access to career opportunities and malomatia’s professional network.
In exchange, UDST will provide malomatia with access to talented students, collaborate on research projects of mutual benefit, and provide faculty expertise to support research, talent development, and learning initiatives at malomatia.
The MoU aligns with malomatia’s strategic objectives, focusing on local talent retention, innovation, community engagement, and national leadership.
By providing a platform for talent development, the partnership supports malomatia’s commitment to advancing digital skills and contributing to Qatar’s digital transformation, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
