The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with NBK Powered Sports, Qatar’s Harley-Davidson dealership, has announced the recall of the 2024 models of Harley-Davidson Touring and CVO Touring motorcycles. The recall is due to a potential issue where the output wire of the centre-cooled regulator may rub against the front corner of the crank-case, potentially exposing and cutting the wire, which could lead to power loss and a sudden stop without the possibility of restarting.

The MoCI, in cooperation with Al Fardan Automobiles, Qatar’s Triumph bike dealership, has also recalled 2022 models of Triumph Bikes Bonneville T120 and Bonneville T120 Black. The recall is due to a possible defect in the connector system wiring, which may lead to high temperatures and heavy current loads, potentially posing a safety risk.

Additionally, the MoCI, in cooperation with Teyseer Motors, Qatar’s Suzuki dealership, has announced the recall of the 2023-2024 models of Suzuki V-STROM motorcycles. The recall is due to a potential issue with the rear tire, which may develop cracking or deformation of the tire tread under high-speed operation. This could lead to portions of the tire tread separating from the tire structure, potentially affecting the motorcycle’s dynamics and overall safety.
