Well-known Pakistani businessman Fawad Rana, who is credited with promoting the game of cricket in Pakistan, presented Lahore Qalandars’ memento to Pak Shamaa School Management Committee President M A Shahid on the sidelines of the graduation ceremony organised by the school recently.

Lahore Qalandars is a Pakistani professional cricket franchise which participates in the Pakistan Super League, representing Lahore, the capital city of the Pakistani province of Punjab.

Rana, who is the managing director of Qalco, was the first person to step forward to announce a team for Pakistan Super League in 2015 and played a vital role in making the PSL a great success.

Shahid appreciated the role played by Rana for taking the game of cricket to new heights in Pakistan and for giving an opportunity to young talent to come forward and make their mark.

Established in 1958, Pak Shamaa School is the oldest community school in Qatar and provides excellent educational facilities to girls and boys up to intermediate level. It is recognised by the Ministry of Education, Qatar.
