Buenos AIREScColor:> Two explosions outside Brazil’s Supreme Court on Wednesday killed one person and led to the evacuation of judges and staff, the news portal G1 reported.

The court confirmed in a statement that all personnel were safely evacuated following the blasts.

The area surrounding the Supreme Court in Brasília’s government district was cordoned off, with firefighters and military explosives experts on site.

According to the G1 report, security services from the nearby Chamber of Deputies reported that one of the explosions occurred when a car detonated in the parking area between the Congress building and the Supreme Court. (DPA)
