His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Republic of Turkiye HE Recep Tayyip Erdogan co-chaired the 10th meeting of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee, held in the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Thursday.

At the outset of the meeting, the President of the Republic of Turkiye expressed his warm welcome to HH the Amir and the accompanying delegation, appreciating His Highness’s joint keenness to enhance the strategic cooperation relations between the two fraternal countries and consolidate them across all fields.The Turkish president noted His Highness’s efforts and the State of Qatar’s regional and international diplomatic and humanitarian endeavors.

In turn, HH the Amir voiced his great pleasure at meeting the President of the Republic of Turkiye, and expressed his deep appreciation to His Excellency for the warm welcome and fraternal receptionHis Highness and the accompanying delegation received. His Highness praised the level of strategic partnership between the two fraternal countries, which has been strengthened over the years within the framework of the Joint Supreme Strategic Committee.

HH the Amir stressed the State of Qatar’s constant keenness to discover and deepen horizons of cooperation, in a way that meets the aspirations of the two countries and achieves the progress, advancement, and prosperity they aspire for.

HH the Amir reiterated the determination to continue strengthening relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkiye, in a way that serves the interests of the two countries across all fields.

In a post on his official X account, HH the Amir said that during the meeting with HE President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the 10th Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee meeting in Ankara on Thursday,His Highness reiterated determination to continue strengthening the strategic relations in a way that serves the interests of the two countries across all fields. HH the Amir added that he was pleased with the mutual eagerness to strengthen the bilateral partnerships and consolidate the historical friendship.

During the meeting, they discussed the strategic relations between the two countries across various fields and the bilateral partnership between them in the fields of economy, trade, investment, energy, industry, and other vital sectors. In addition, they exchanged views on key regional and international developments, particularly the developments in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territories, and Lebanon.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Minister of Finance HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, Minister of Transport HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, and a number of members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.

On Turkiye’s side, the meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defence HE Yasar Guler, Minister of Trade HE Omer Bolat, Minister of Industry and Technology HE Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure HE Abdulkadir Uraloglu, Minister of Treasury And Finance HE Mehmet Simsek, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources HE Alparslan Bayraktar, and a number of senior officials.

Earlier, HH the Amir and the President of the Republic of Turkiye held a bilateral meeting, where they exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern.

HH the Amir also attended the dinner banquet hosted by the President of the Republic of Turkiye, in honor of His Highness and the accompanying delegation.

HH the Amir was accorded an official reception ceremony upon arrival at the Presidential Complex, which included the firing of 21 artillery rounds to welcome His Highness.
