PRISTINA: Qatar Charity (QC) has inaugurated several development projects in the Republic of Kosovo, during a visit to Kosovo made by a delegation from QC headed by CEO of QC Yousef bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, and in the presence of non-resident Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Kosovo HE Jabor bin Ali Al Dosari, alongside a host of government officials in Kosovo.

During the visit, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo HE Albin Kurti met with the QC's delegation and commended QC's activities in Kosovo throughout the 25 past years.

QC inaugurated the Doha Emergency Medical Center in the city of Podujeve, along with the Qatar Residential Complex, the Qatar Islamic Center, the Water Project, as well as the Al Yafei Health Center, and a mosque.

The CEO of QC inaugurated the Doha Emergency Medical Center in the presence of HE the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Saranda Bogujevci, Kosovo's Minister of Health Arben Vitia, and Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Kosovo HE Jabor bin Ali Al Dosari.

The center aims to manage emergency cases and provide full and high-quality medical services, including dental care and radiology, with 80,000 individuals benefiting from these services.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo HE Albin Kurti praised the project's significance, highlighting its strategic location, which will allow the center to offer multiple medical services, including primary healthcare.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the State of Qatar for this valuable project, emphasizing Qatar's ongoing support for Kosovo in various areas.

The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Kosovo said the project reflects the deep relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Kosovo and underscores Qatar's commitment to supporting development and health initiatives that serve the Kosovo community and contribute to its stability and prosperity.

The project involves the construction of a central mosque, the headquarters of the Islamic Sheikhdom of Kosovo, a multi-purpose hall, and waqf stores. The center will provide cultural, educational, and social services, benefiting around 20,000 people.

QC also inaugurated The Qatar Residential Complex in the Frasher area, which aims to address slum housing and provide integrated, high-quality services to ensure that low-income families have access to suitable housing and basic services.

The complex covers an area of 33,000 square meters and includes 40 houses and a school. The number of beneficiaries exceeds 10,000 people.
