The 11th Gulf Quality Conference, organised by the Gulf Consultant and Quality Centre in partnership with Qatar Chamber, will commence on November 20 at the Sharq Hotel. Themed “Quality and Innovation,” the conference coincides with World Quality Day and aims to bring together experts and leaders from the Gulf region and beyond to explore advancements in quality and sustainability practices across diverse industries.
During a press conference held at Qatar Chamber on Sunday, key organisers highlighted the conference’s significance. Qatar Chamber Acting General Manager Ali Bu Sharbak Al Mansori emphasised the chamber’s dedication to supporting initiatives that bolster economic development.
He described the conference as a vital platform for sharing knowledge and experiences, noting that quality and innovation are essential in navigating today’s rapidly evolving global challenges. Al Mansori stressed that quality serves as the foundation for organizational success and sustainability, while innovation acts as the driving force behind excellence and long-term growth. He further highlighted the role of the private sector in adhering to quality and sustainability standards, which are crucial for fostering innovation and achieving sustainable economic progress.
Gulf Consultant and Quality Centre President Mohamed bin Saleh Al Kuwari expressed gratitude to Qatar Chamber for its support in organizing the event. He stated that the conference would focus on key areas such as the implementation of international quality systems, event sustainability standards, and the role of business continuity systems in sustainable development.
Al Kuwari also emphasised the significance of adopting innovation management systems to improve performance and competitiveness. He explained that the conference would review government quality and excellence awards within the GCC, highlighting their role in overcoming administrative challenges and achieving sustainability.
Addressing the challenges faced by organisations today, Al Kuwari noted that the conference would delve into the importance of risk management, the impact of business continuity systems like ISO 22301:2019, and the benefits of integrating event sustainability standards, such as ISO 20121:2024, into operations. Discussions will also focus on the adoption of ISO 56002:2019 as a tool for managing and fostering innovation within organizations.
The conference is expected to provide a platform for thought-provoking discussions and knowledge sharing among industry leaders and specialists.
