The DPS-MIS students a expressed their love and gratitude to their second home Qatar with a range of activities.
With patriotic fervour, the Qatar National Day was marked with special assemblies conducted to highlight the rich cultural heritage of Qatar and express the institution’s solidarity, allegiance and unwavering support to the country.
A colourful and vibrant parade depicting the multi-national communities that live in peace and harmony in Qatar, its preparations for 2022, its mega projects, its economic growth and an exhibition on Qatar’s role in conducting of many sporting events in the recent past were the highlights of the day.
The students of Grade 1 and 2 performed a skit sharing information about His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, founder of Qatar.
The audience was taken on a tour through various places in Qatar as it is currently referred to as one of the friendliest tourist destinations in the Middle East, offering lots of entertainment.
The nursery wing expressed their loyalty and love toward the country by participating in a colouring activity where the children coloured a worksheet with the image of Qatar’s National Flag.
The occasion was graced by key functionaries.
In her speech, Principal Asna Nafees appreciated the role played by Qatar in giving all expats security and protection, and making it one of the best places to live.
The celebration evoked a spirit of belongingness among the students to their country of residence, Qatar.
