The countdown to the 27th edition of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, to be held at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha from December 31, 2018 to January 5, 2019, has begun.
The impressive ATP World Tour 250 series tournament will attract a host of world’s top players including World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, a two-time champion here, as well as World No. 8 Dominic Thiem, Nikolov Basilashvili, David Goffin, Karen Khachanov and this year’s French Open semi-finalist Marco Cecchinato.
The tournament, which has featured some of the biggest names in tennis down the years is seen as the curtain raiser for the Australian Open.

“We are more than ready to host the best so far in the tournament’s history, the best in the 250 points category in terms of player rankings and level of organisation,” said Tareq Zainal, General Coordinator of the tournament.
“We’ve promised ourselves to keep raising the bar each year and we are totally committed to fulfilling that promise come what may. The fans are in for a tremendous week-long fiesta of tennis.”
Tickets for the event are currently on sale online at www.qatartennis.org or onsite at the City Centre, Landmark and Villaggio malls.
The tournament’s draw ceremony will be held at
the Four Seasons Hotel on
