Environment ministry seizes large number of bird-calling devices

DOHA: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Changehas seized a large number of bird-calling devices (sawat) in several wilderness areas, where it took legal measures and confiscated the devices.

The Ministry said it has formed a special team under the Wildlife Protection Department to inspect all evening environmental violations, including calling devices.

The Ministry calls upon the public to adhere to Ministerial Resolution No. 24 of 2023, which regulates the hunting season for birds and wild animals.
