DOHA: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education celebrated the World Children's Day, which falls on November 20 of each year, by holding an exhibition of the most prominent works of students that reflect their creativity and contributions in celebration of this occasion, which aims to promote a safe and sustainable environment in which children's rights are respected, their aspirations are achieved, and social responsibility is enhanced by raising awareness of initiatives that support their well-being and protection.

The event witnessed the participation of Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Lolwa bint Rashid Al Khater, who reviewed the students’ activities and schools’ participation.

She also listened to the explanation given by a group of children participating in this event, which was organized by the Activities and Programs Section of the Schools and Students Affairs Department, in cooperation with the “Aman” Center and the National Cybersecurity Agency, as well as Amama bint Hamza Primary School for Girls, Al Nahda Primary School for Girls, Al Kharaitiyat Primary School for Girls, Al Andalus Primary School for Girls, and Tariq bin Ziyad Private School.

The event included various activities, as the National Cybersecurity Agency presented educational brochures for parents of ministry employees, models of educational cybersecurity curricula, interactive games, and awareness stories targeting all educational levels. The Aman Center also participated with educational brochures.

Amama Bint Hamza Primary School for Girls contributed to the celebration by displaying expressive artistic models about children's rights, awareness panels, in addition to videos and interactive games with the participation of parents.

As for Al Nahda Primary School for Girls, it highlighted children's rights in Palestine by drawing expressive paintings, in addition to displaying the achievements of the State of Qatar in the field of protecting children's rights, and distributing souvenirs.

The program of Al Kharaitiyat Primary School for Girls included a song expressing children's rights, educational videos, expressive drawings, and awareness brochures. As for Al Andalus Primary School for Girls, it activated various corners for children's rights, such as the right to play through interactive games, the right to express oneself through drawing and storytelling, and the right to protection and health, in addition to a corner that displayed artistic models, brochures, and an artistic panel entitled "The Tree of Life"; embodying the importance of the child enjoying all his rights. Tariq Bin Ziyad Private School displayed an awareness video about its vision towards children's rights, in addition to distributing educational brochures and publications and displaying an interactive game that promotes the concept of sustainability.

It is worth noting that the World Children's Day is celebrated annually with the aim of strengthening international cohesion, raising awareness among the world's children about their rights, and improving their well-being.
