As part of Ashghal’s commitment to implementing its road and infrastructure development plan for 10,400 residential plots for citizens in different regions of the country between 2017 and 2021, the authority signed five contracts for land plots in a number of areas such as Al Kharatiyat, Lubain, Muaither and West Muaither among others. The five projects will serve 5,192 land plots.

The year 2018 also saw many new highway projects. Ashghal finished 100km of highways, bringing the total to more than 500km. It also opened 10 new intersections bringing the total number of intersections to 88.
Furthermore, the authority finished 240km of footbridges and crossings. Renovations to more than one million metres have also been completed.
Ashghal opened three main bridges on Al Khor highway, while 6km of Khalifa Avenue was completed, including the Bani Hajer Intersection. This intersection eases traffic flow between Doha, Dukhan, Bani Hajer and Al Rayyan.
As part of the development of the E and F Ring roads, the authority opened the entrance from F Ring Road to H Ring Road in both directions. It also opened a 3km service lane on F Ring Road.
Ashghal also completed 6km of service roads along the Industrial Area road.
