The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Porsche Centre Doha, Al Boraq Automobiles Co. WLL., Qatar’s Porsche dealership, has announced the recall of Porsche Carrera 2024-2025 models. The recall is due to a potential issue with the central locking mechanism for wheel fastening, which may not meet specifications. This defect could cause damage or breakage of the central locking nut, potentially leading to wheel loosening, loss of the wheel, and loss of vehicle control.
Besides, the ministry, in cooperation with United Cars Almana, Qatar’s Dodge dealership, has recalled the 2025 Dodge Ram 1500 model. The recall addresses a potential defect in the gears of the front wheel bearing, which could result in irregular signals from the wheel speed sensor (WSS). This issue may lead to a malfunction in the electronic stability control system (ESC).
The MoCI, in cooperation with Skyline Automotive, Qatar’s Hyundai dealership, has also recalled Hyundai Elantra, 2008-2009 models, as in some vehicles, the driver airbags may not operate as intended.(TNN)
