BAKU: Minister of Environment and Climate Change HE Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie has held a number of meetings on the sidelines of the Conference of the Parties to the Climate Agreement COP29, which is being held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, from November 11 to 22.

The minister met with His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, Minister of Energy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where they discussed a number of issues of common interest and ways to enhance fruitful cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

The Minister also held talks with Jennifer Lee Morgan, Minister of State for Climate Affairs and Special Envoy for International Climate Action in Germany, Mawlawi Matiul Haq Khalis, Director General of the National Environmental Protection Agency of Afghanistan, and Bahadur Shiralizadeh, Minister of the Environmental Protection Committee of the Government of Tajikistan.

The parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation in confronting climate change, work to strengthen bilateral partnerships, and review international initiatives of common interest.
