Microsoft gets green light to set up global data centre in Qatar

DOHA The Cabinet has approved the establishment of a global data centre for Microsoft, “Azure Cloud Computing”, in Qatar. Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service created by the company for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through a global network of Microsoft-managed data centres. It provides software, platform and infrastructure services and supports many different programming languages, tools and frameworks, including both Microsoft-specific and third-party software and systems.
