Tribune News NetworkKonya (Turkey)Qatar’s women’s fencing team added another bronze to the nation’s overall medals tally at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games (Konya 2021) at Konya in Turkey on Wednesday.Lina Al Buenain, Haya Diyab and Sarah Diyab pose won the foil team bronze medal.Al Fadala lauds Team Qatar show Earlier, Qatar Athletics Federation (QAF) President Mohammed Issa Al Fadala described Team Qatar’s performance at the Games as incredible after they won seven medals, including three gold, three silver and bronze at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games.“ We are truly happy with our athletics team performance and results, it was our best ever participation in the Islamic Solidarity Games and we shall chase down more achievements and podiums, ” said Al Fadala.This fifth edition of Islamic Solidarity Games conclude on Thursday having see the participation of approximately 6000 athletes from 58 countries.Team Qatar participated in 14 sport disciplines, including basketball, volleyball, handball, cycling, athletics, swimming, shooting, Taekwondo, Judo, Karate, weightlifting, wrestling, fencing and gymnastics.
