DOHA: Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani laid the foundation stone for the blue ammonia plant project in Mesaieed Industrial City on Tuesday morning.
During the ceremony, a documentary about the project was screened. This project is considered to be the first and largest blue ammonia plant in the world with a production capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per year, and it will enter production in the second quarter of 2026.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Eng Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi delivered a speech.
A number of Their Excellencies the Ministers attended the ceremony, alongside Chief Executive Officers and ranking officials from QatarEnergy's partners and other guests.
