London: Netherlands wing-back Denzel Dumfries has agreed a contract extension with Inter Milan that will keep him at the San Siro until 2028. The 28-year-old has made 147 appearances for the Serie A champions since his arrival in 2021 with his new deal extending his stay to seven seasons. A club statement said: "Internazionale Milano can confirm that an agreement has been reached to extend Denzel Dumfries’ contract. The 28-year-old wing-back has put pen to paper on a deal lasting until 30 June 2028.” Dumfries, who was previously a target for Manchester United under former boss Erik ten Hag, helped Inter win the Italian league title last season. He has scored two goals in 15 appearances this season as Inter sit a point off Serie A leaders Napoli and have won four of their five Champions League group games. (PA Media/dpa)
