Prime Minister of Egypt Dr Mostafa Madbouly met with Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations and the means to enhance cooperation in all fields, especially in the political, economic, investment, commercial and humanitarian fields, in a way that meets the aspirations of the two peoples.

The latest developments in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, were also discussed, in addition to the developments in Lebanon.

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Dr Badr Abdel Aati. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the ways to support and enhance them, as well as expanding trade exchange and joint cooperation to serve the aspirations of both nations.

They also discussed the latest developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly the facilitation of humanitarian and relief aid to all areas of the Gaza Strip without obstacles, in addition to the situation in Lebanon and several topics of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the prime minister welcomed the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, expressing hope that it would lead to a similar agreement to end the ongoing war in Gaza and the Israeli attacks on the occupied West Bank.

He also commended the strategic role played by Egypt in promoting security and peace in the region through its efforts to resolve regional issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause.
