DOHA: The Qatar Armed Forces concluded the joint military exercise Al-Koot 9 with the French Armed Forces, under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and in the presence of Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces HE Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohamed Al Mannai.
Al-Koot 9 aimed to enhance operational capabilities, strengthen combat readiness, and improve the ability to address potential internal and external crises and disasters. It also focused on safeguarding Qatar's airspace, land, and maritime borders while fostering the exchange of expertise and bolstering Qatari-French military cooperation.
On the sidelines of the exercise, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces held a meeting with Commander of the French Land Forces, Lieutenant General Pierre Schell. The meeting was attended by several senior officers from both sides, underscoring the depth of the military partnership between Qatar and France.
