The Ministry of Labour (MoL), through its Department of Qualifying and Skills Development, collaborated with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants (QCPA) to organise a specialised training course titled ‘Practical Cases of Internal Audit’ on Thursday.
The course aimed to enhance participants’ accounting skills and familiarise them with real-world internal auditing practices. This initiative supports the preparation of Qatari graduates and children of Qatari women for seamless integration into the private sector labour market.
The course is part of the MoL’s strategy to develop an effective and highly productive workforce while supporting the objectives of the Nationalisation Law in the private sector. It aims to qualify the national workforce, prepare them to meet targets, enhance their competitiveness, and increase the proportion of highly skilled Qataris, including Qatari women and their children, in the labour market. During the training course, trainees learned to apply the principles and methods of internal auditing in real-world work environments. This included practical case studies on identifying financial and administrative risks within organisations, evaluating financial performance, and assessing operational processes.
