Doha: Hosts Qatar scored a comfortable six-wicket win over Saudi Arabia in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier B match at the University of Doha for Science & Technology ground on Thursday.
Qatar finished with a tally of 10 points from their six games to join Nepal, Oman, and Papua New Guinea in the Regional Final. Also advancing were UAE with 12 points. Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Thailand all finished on 6 points each. Cambodia ended with 2 points while Bhutan had 0. Chasing a target of 166 for victory, Qatar were guided by Mohammad Ahnaff, who scored a fifty, while Saqlain Arshad and Muhammad Tanveer made 45 and 36 runs respectively, reaching home in 17.5 overs.
