Pak Shama School Red claimed the first Beach Cricket Championship at the Sealine beach, beating their
Green team.
The under-14 championship was hosted at the winter camp by the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) on Friday, in cooperation with the Qatar Tourism Authority.
Bravo Academy settled for the third spot.
The event featured 10 schools, represented by 120 students.
Mohammad Abdullah al Meer, Head of the QOC Accounts Section, honoured the winning teams. He hailed the success of the championship and wide participation of the students in the event.
"The big success of the championship will surely motivate us to organise more similar championships and community activities in future,” he said.
He also extended his thanks to the Qatar Cricket Association officials for their contribution to this success.
