Dr Sheikha Suad Al-Sabah honoured Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al-Thani, executive director of the Dreama Orphan Care Center, during a ceremony at the Kuwait International Book Fair, highlighting Dreama’s impactful contributions to humanitarian and cultural initiatives.

At the event, Ali Al-Masoudi, director of the House, presented a commemorative shield to Sheikha Najla in recognition of her remarkable efforts in advancing care for orphans and those without family connections. Al-Masoudi lauded Dreama’s work, particularly its cultural publications that promote values through stories inspired by the lives of prophets, fostering understanding and compassion.

Sheikha Najla showcased a selection of Dreama’s publications and artwork created by children from the centre, reflecting the creative talents nurtured within the organisation.

During her visit, Sheikha Najla toured the Tross Publishing House, accompanied by Mohammed Al-Thunayan and representatives of Qatari publishing houses. She was warmly received by Dr Aisha bint Jassim Al-Kuwari at Rosa Publishing House, where discussions centred on cultural collaborations.

Sheikha Najla also visited the pavilion of the National Council for Arts and Letters, where she explored the Little Arabi magazine project, an initiative aimed at cultivating a love for reading and cultural awareness among children.
