The Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) and the Public Prosecution will hold, on Wednesday, the first joint auction for confiscated assets, which were seized in various cases by the Public Prosecution.

This came after the Council and the Public Prosecution recently finalised all the necessary arrangements to hold this joint auction between the two parties, in a way that enhances aspects of cooperation, benefits from the available capabilities, and enhances the unified efforts aimed at developing legal and judicial procedures in both parties.

The first auction for vehicles confiscated by the Public Prosecution will be conducted via the electronic application ‘Mzadat.’ The auction will feature seven cars of various models and five motorcycles and is scheduled to take place on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm.

This auction highlights the strong collaboration and institutional synergy between the Supreme Judiciary Council and the Public Prosecution. The two bodies, which share a successful institutional partnership and joint judicial procedures, recently reached agreements on arrangements for showcasing and auctioning confiscated assets through court auctions. Beyond cars and motorcycles, future auctions are set to feature valuable watches, jewellery, real estate, luxury cars, and other high-value items.

The Evictions and Judicial Auctions Department at the Enforcement Court and the Seizure and Confiscation Office at the Public Prosecution are working on a joint working mechanism and a technical and logistical support team, to ensure the success of the auctions implemented at the best level, with a view to achieving the set goals.
