The luxurious cruise liner Celestyal Journey has left Qatar following its historic three-day maiden visit to Doha Port as part of its inaugural Arabian Gulf itinerary. The seven-night ‘Desert Days’ & Qatar Grand Prix’ cruise has now set sail for Dubai Marina, Khasab, Sir Bani Yas Island and the UAE capital where it will host guests attending the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The Doha call marked the launch of a partnership between the Greek-owned and internationally run Celestyal, Visit Qatar, Qatar Tourism, and Mwani Qatar,which will see the luxury Celestyal Journey homeport from Doha for the next three winter seasons.

The ship now heads to Abu Dhabi and later Dubai on the first of nine seven-night ‘Desert Days’ sailings in the current cruise season lasting until March 2025.

During its maiden visit to Doha, guests, including media, global and local trade agents and distinguished VIPs, enjoyed a sea-inspired luncheon and a special appearance by F1 legend David Coulthard, who shared stories from his racing career.
