Al Wakrah will face Tajikistan champions FC Ravshan in the sixth and final round (Group A) of the 2024-2025 season AFC Champions League Two at the Al Janoub Stadium on Wednesday at 7pm.

Al Wakrah had advanced to the Round of 16 following a 3-3 draw against Iran’s Tractor FC in the fifth round.

In addition, Al Wakrah secured the second position in group, currently holding four points ahead of their final match against FC Ravshan, while Tractor FC lead with 10 points.

Speaking on the eve of the match, Al Wakrah coach Ali Rahma Al Marri, said, “We are ready for the match, and our goal is to secure all three points.

“While we have already qualified, it’s important to maintain our good form, and we will give our best effort. I was disappointed with the draw against Tractor FC in our last match, which we had hoped to win. Now, our focus is on finishing the group stage strongly and carrying good momentum into the Qatar Stars League.”

Al Wakrah player Ahmed Fadel, said, “We are fully prepared for the game against Ravshan. Advancing in the tournament is a great achievement, but tomorrow’s match is not just a formality. We are determined to stay focused and secure the win.”

Ravshan are positioned third in the group standings, having not earned any points due to a lack of wins or draws, thereby eliminating their chances of qualification.

Al Wakrah coach Ali Rahma Al Marri intends to provide opportunities for a greater number of players to play in the upcoming match, allowing for evaluation of their performance prior to the resumption of league.

Al Wakrah had beaten FC Ravshan 1-0 in the first leg. The Blue Wave aim to secure their second victory in the tournament.
