A Shura Council delegation led by Chairman of the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee HE Dr Sultan bin Hassan Al Dosari met with Shura Council Speaker of Saudi Arabia Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sheikh in Riyadh on Tuesday.
The meeting, which was part of a Shura Council delegation visit to Riyadh, discussed aspects of joint cooperation and issues of common concern.
The two sides also exchanged views on the best practices to foster legislative work and develop cooperation between the two councils.
The Shura Council delegation held another meeting with the Saudi Shura Council’s Saudi-Qatari Parliamentary Friendship Group chaired by Dr Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al Muhanna.
Both sides addressed the best parliamentary practices and mechanisms for developing joint cooperation.
As part of the visit, the Shura Council delegation attended part of the day’s sitting of the Saudi Shura Council and were briefed on the Council’s history, experience, organisational structure, and work mechanisms.
