His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), honoured the former presidents of Qatar’s national federations when he met them at the QOC headquarters on Wednesday.
The meeting was also attended by H.E. Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain, Secretary-General of QOC.
This recognition reflects profound appreciation for the former presidents’ dedication and exceptional contributions to the development of sports in Qatar as their efforts have been instrumental in elevating the nation’s status as a prominent global sports hub.
The list of honorees included; Hassan Nasser Al Naimi, Former President of Qatar Golf Association, Khaleel Ibrahim Al Jabir, Former President of the Qatar Swimming Association, and Muhammed Jaham Al Kuwari, Former President of the Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation.
