Within the framework of the state visit of the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to London, the Minister of State for International Cooperation, HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, met with Under-Secretary of State for Africa at Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Lord Collins of Highbury on Wednesday.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the two countries and the ways to enhance them, in addition to joint initiatives to protect groups affected by armed conflicts, alongside a range of issues of shared concern.
The Minister of State for International Cooperation also met with Director for Pakistan and Afghanistan at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Andrew McCoubrey.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation between the two countries and ways to bolster them, as well as the situation in Afghanistan and avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the areas of health, education and humanitarian and development projects within the joint development portfolio between the two countries.
