The competitions of the 7th round of the Qatar Equestrian Tour - Longines Hathab Season 8 continued with the Future Riders and Amateurs Tour at the Longines Arena of Al Shaqab on Friday.
Rider Khalifa bin Joaan Al Thani was crowned with the title of Future Riders for the second level (height 80cm), after he clocked a flawless 58 seconds astride gelding Zion II VDK . He was followed in second place by Ali Khalid Al Obaidli, who completed his flawless routine in 57.75 seconds with mare Guedzanotte Du Preau. Abdullah Saleh Al Obaidly, riding gelding Manni, claimed the third podium place with a time of 57.72 seconds.
The the first level competitions (60cm) for Future Riders was won by Fahad bin Nasser Al Thani on mare Coco Chanel SB finishing with a best time of 58.03secs, followed by Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani in second place (57.91secs) astride mare SITA. Jassim Saoud Al Fakhroo was third (58.15secs) riding gelding Cascade Sammy.
Omar Al Buainain, Director of the Support Services Sector at the Qatar Equestrian Federation, crowned winners of the first places.
Meanwhile in Amateur class (Table A, Two Phases), Youssef Abdulrahman Al Muftah excelled on gelding Kroaat Van Orchids to win with a time of 15.87secs.
Mohammed Faisal Al Marri who registered 16.43 secs riding mare Dusty, while Al Qaqaa bin Tamim Al Thani took the third podium spot clocking 16.91secs astride mare Bon Suela.
The winners were crowned by Abdullah Al Qashouti, Chairman of the Media and Live Broadcast Committee of Hathab, and Mohammed Saleh Al Marri, Vice-Chairman of the Facilities and Logistics Committee.
Saturday, the third day of the event will see Open Class and Big Tour competitions from 4pm.
