THE Criminal Evidence and Information Department (CEID) at the Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, has opened office for issuing good conduct certificates (Police Clearance Certificate) to citizens at MADLSA headquarters.
The certificates will help citizens in finding employment in government agencies and students in getting admission to prestigious institutions abroad.
In the same context, the CEID, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Information Systems, has launched an online service to issue these certificates to citizens and residents through Metrash2 app or the MoI’s
web portal.
Abdullah Musallam al Dosari, assistant undersecretary for Administrative Development Affairs at MADLSA, said any exchange student can now easily avail himself of a certificate of good conduct through the office at its headquarters.
The service will also be available to the candidates for employment in the ministries and various establishments of the state.
Brigadier Nasser Abdullah al Mahmoud, director of Criminal Evidence and Information Department, said this office aims to receive applications from citizens applying for government jobs and Qatari students enrolled abroad.
Last year, the department received nearly 12,000 requests, including those from 700 students that were submitted to MADLSA.
Brig Gen Nasser al Mahmoud said the CEID has provided all the requirements of the office including trained staff and two separate sections for women and men. The citizens whose fingerprints have not been saved earlier can complete their fingerprinting and apply for a certificate of good conduct at the office directly.
Brigadier Mahmoud said that Metrash2 service is an additional service, available to all citizens and residents. This service requires the applicants from outside the country to have an ID number and a fingerprint stored with the department.
The applicants can track the status of the application through the app as well.
This service is now available for individuals, who can request for themselves or for one of their family members through Metrash 2 or the Ministry of the Interior website.
